Coastal Clothespin Wreath Craft

This creative Coastal Clothespin Wreath Craft adds a fun nautical touch, ideal as décor around the home!

Materials

  • Clothespins - approximately 75
  • White Spray Paint - or any white paint you have
  • Light Blue Paint
  • Coffee
  • Metal Relax Sign - or similar
  • 14- Inch Wire Wreath Form
  • Sea Shells
  • Nautical Rope - or twine optional

TOOLS

  • Container (to soak the clothespins in)
  • Hot glue gun

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the clothespins by painting 30 of them white, 15 of them blue, and 30 of them soak for a few hours in coffee, and dry in a very low oven (100°C/200°F/Gas ¼) for an hour, or leave them outside in the sunshine to dry naturally.

  • Paint the 'Relax' sign in your desired color, and leave it to dry.
  • When the clothespins have dried, pin them in any order that you like around the wire wreath form. You can add hot glue for added strength if you like.

  • Using hot glue, attach the 'Relax' sign to the bottom center of the wreath.

  • Lay seashells on either side of the 'Relax' sign, and when happy with the layout, hot glue into place.

  • You can create a hanging loop with nautical rope or twine if you like and attach it to the back of the wreath.
  • Display where desired!
