Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Pretzel Bars

These oh-so-sweet, yet slightly salty Peanut Butter Pretzel Bars are a simple and quick decadent treat to enjoy at any time.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup creamy/smooth peanut butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 20 mini pretzel twists

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4. Line a 9" x 13" baking pan with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Place the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, and vanilla into a bowl and beat well until combined and smooth. Set it aside.
  • Whisk or sift the flour and baking powder into a small bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the bowl of wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  • Halve the dough and press one half into the prepared baking dish.

  • Spread the peanut butter evenly on top of the dough layer.

  • Press the remaining dough on top of the peanut butter (scooping balls of the dough will help with forming the second layer).

  • Press and sprinkle the pretzel twists and the mini chocolate chips into the dough.


    Pretzels & Chocolate Chips Added
  • Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the center is set.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
