- ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
- ¾ cup creamy/smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cup all-purpose flour plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 20 mini pretzel twists
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4. Line a 9" x 13" baking pan with parchment paper and set it aside.
Place the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, and vanilla into a bowl and beat well until combined and smooth. Set it aside.
Whisk or sift the flour and baking powder into a small bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the bowl of wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
Halve the dough and press one half into the prepared baking dish.
Spread the peanut butter evenly on top of the dough layer.
Press the remaining dough on top of the peanut butter (scooping balls of the dough will help with forming the second layer).
Press and sprinkle the pretzel twists and the mini chocolate chips into the dough.
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the center is set.
Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
