Jack-o'-Lantern Candy Apples

Ready to make some spooky Halloween treats? These Jack-o'-Lantern Candy Apples are super easy and fun to create, perfect for parties or a festive snack at home.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz (1) Bag Orange Candy Melts
  • 1 tube Wilton Black Sparkle Gel
  • 4 (8"/20cm) Lollipop Sticks
  • 4 Apples*

Instructions

  • Prepare a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper. Set it aside.
  • Melt the orange candy melts in a bowl as directed on the package.

  • Insert a lollipop stick into each apple. TIP! It's best to go a little bit on either side of the core, as it can be challenging to insert the stick through it.
  • Dip the apples into the bowl of melted candy, using a spoon to cover them completely.

  • Place the candy apples onto the prepared baking sheet. Transfer to the fridge to set.
  • Once the apples have set, pipe a pumpkin face onto each one with Wilton Black Sparkle Gel.

  • Place in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • Alternatively, once set, you can wrap the candy apples in cellophane and tie them with a ribbon to make a party favor. Enjoy and Happy Halloween!

Notes

*Use your favorite kind of apple. Granny Smith, Fuji, Jazz, and Gala are good choices for candy apples.
