Preheat an outdoor grill or indoor grill pan to medium heat.
Cut the pound cake into bite-sized cubes. Thread onto BBQ skewers, alternating with strawberries and pineapple chunks in between. TIP!If using wooden bamboo skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
Grill for 3-4 minutes per side on an outdoor grill or on a lightly greased grill pan until light grill marks form and the fruit begins to soften.
Use an electric handheld or stand mixer to whip the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and continue to mix until incorporated.
Serve the grilled pound cake and fruit with fresh whipped cream. Enjoy!
