Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz package black Candy Melts
  • 1 12 oz package yellow Candy Melts
  • 12 Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies
  • Yellow sugar sprinkles
  • 12 cupcakes
  • 2-3 cups vanilla frosting green

Instructions

  • Melt the black Candy Melts according to package directions. If the candy is too thick to pour, add 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening. Stir well. Do not add water. You can add up to 1 tablespoon of coconut oil per bag of candy wafers. Pour into cat mold and allow to harden completely before removing.
  • Melt the yellow Candy Melts as above.
  • Insert a short lollipop stick in between the two Oreo halves. Use a little of the melted yellow candy to hold in place.
  • Dip each cookie into melted candy. Remove cookie, tapping gently against the side of the bowl, allowing excess candy to return to the bowl. If air bubbles form, pop them with a toothpick. Place the cookies onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
  • Sprinkle immediately with yellow sugar and leave to dry completely before decorating the cupcakes.
  • Pipe green frosting over the top of the cupcakes, insert the yellow Oreo cookie full moon, and place a black cat in front.
