Instructions

  • To create Baby Yoda, line up four jumbo craft sticks on your work surface. Using scissors, trim two additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of Baby Yoda and attach them with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Building Baby Yoda with Craft Sticks
  • Paint the top two inches with bright green acrylic craft paint. Paint the bottom four inches with light brown acrylic craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

    Painting Baby Yoda
  • Download, print, and cut out the Baby Yoda pattern. Using a marker, trace the collar pattern onto tan felt. Trace the large ear patterns onto the bright green felt and trace the small ear patterns onto the pink felt. Cut out all shapes with scissors, making sure to cut inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project.

    Tracing Pattern onto Felt

  • Flip over Baby Yoda’s face pattern and scribble all over the back with a pencil. Flip the pattern back over and position it in the center of Baby Yoda’s head. Trace around the pattern with a pencil, transferring the facial features onto the craft sticks. Ink in the features with a black marker. Using the end of the paintbrush handle dipped in white paint, make a large and small dot in each eye.

    Adding Face to Baby Yoda

  • Glue the tan felt collar to Baby Yoda at the neck. Draw the folds onto the collar with a black marker. Attach the pink ears to the bright green ears with a glue gun and glue sticks. Flip Baby Yoda over and glue the ears to the top right and left sides. You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry.
