Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C/Gas 4.
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Add cherry pie filling to the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix on top of the cherry layer. DO NOT stir!
Pour the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix layer. Cover as much as possible to ensure even baking.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
Cool for 5 minutes before serving, topped with ice cream. Enjoy!
