Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4. Spray a 10-inch cast-iron skillet with nonstick baking spray and set it aside.
Place the spice cake mix, apple pie spice, and allspice into a bowl and whisk to combine.
Add the ingredients listed on the back of the cake box and mix them together to form the cake batter. Set the bowl aside.
In another bowl, place the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and stir to combine. Add the chopped apples to the bowl and toss in the sugar mixture.
Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared skillet, followed by half of the apples.

Then repeat with the remaining cake batter and apples.
Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Remove the cake from the oven when done and set it aside to cool.
When the cake has cooled, combine the powdered sugar, whole milk, and cinnamon in a small
bowl. Stir to mix well.
Spoon the topping mixture into a disposable piping bag and cut off the tip.
Drizzle the cinnamon glaze on top of the cake and sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
