Ingredients
500gbeef mince
½white onionfinely chopped
4rashers streaky baconchopped
salt & pepper
100gcheddar cheesegrated
4burger buns
your choice of toppings - e.g.ketchup, mustard, relish, onion, lettuce, tomato
Instructions
Divide the cheese into 4 (25g) portions and form into small balls.
In a bowl, mix the beef mince, onion, chopped bacon. Season to your preference with salt and pepper. Divide into 4 (125g) portions.
Flatten each portion of the burger mix slightly and add one ball of cheese to each. Pull the meat up and around the cheese to encase it in a ball and then using your hands or a burger press, form a patty.
Grill on the barbecue or under a grill for 5-6 minutes on each side until cooked through.
Serve on burger buns with your choice of toppings.
