Valentine’s Day Dinner!
Home » HOLIDAYS » VALENTINE'S DAY »One of my gifts to my hubby this Valentine’s Day was to cook him a three course dinner.
As it was just the two of us, I didn’t bother to drag out our big dining table, and just set everything up on the coffee table in front of the sofa.
I decorated the table with the bunch of flowers my hubby gave to me for Valentine’s Day, some rose petals and heart shaped confetti.
I bought some heart shaped napkins and a couple of crackers (not just for Christmas it would seem!) which went on the table, along with the menus that I quickly designed as hubby seemed disappointed when I said I hadn’t actually made any menus!
I added 2 heart candles and the little bear ornament that he also bought for me and the table was complete.
You will have to excuse the photos that I took for this dinner, since I was just using my iPhone and the light was dim!
For starters I made citrus chilli scallops and prawns which I served on a bed of salad leaves with some avocado slices.
Main course was Philly stuffed chicken wrapped in Parma ham with new potatoes and salad.
And for dessert I made a chocolate fondue with fruit dippers. With the left over fondue I was able to make chocolate truffles the next day :)
My husband loves my cooking, so it hit all the right spots and it was nice to spend a relaxing evening enjoying a meal together – just the two of us ❤ I’ll be sharing the recipes for the dishes very soon!
