Onto the summer (ish!) months of the year, where, just for a change, we had some glorious weather in the UK and when we went Back to the Magic!
In 2012 we went to see one of my favourite singers – Darren Hayes – in concert (twice!) and of course I took a few photos to preserve the memories. I was asked by his fan club if they could use some of my images in the Fanzine…my answer? OMG – totally yes!!!!!! What a true honour!!! I shared this momentous fangirl occasion on my blog, definitely a highlight of the year for me!
July brought a blog revamp, I’m never ever just happy with how things are and always seeking to change the blog up!
We also went to see Michael Bublé in concert at the O2 in London which was just AWESOME! I’ve wanted to see him for many years and finally got the chance this month. We had a great view when he came and performed on a second staged in the middle of the arena. I hope we get to see him again in concert one day.
I wrote a post for Social Fabric and ASDA about a budget BBQ for under a tenner. I think I did well with such a small budget, especially since I tend to go overboard in barbecue season! There were a few more barbecue recipes shared in July including Bacon & Cheese Stuffed Burgers and Barbecued Whole Fresh Trout.
I started writing my tips for each of the theme parks in Orlando, starting with Magic Kingdom. I didn’t finish this series off in 2013, but plan to in 2014.
And finally, I celebrated Christmas in July with posts that I didn’t get a chance to share at Christmas 2012!!

August was a bit of a month off for me from my blog. With us spending 3 weeks in Orlando, Florida, so I called upon some of my fellow bloggers to write guest posts for me.
And of course, I shared my photos each day from Florida!

I then starting having thoughts for our 5th wedding anniversary and wrote a post about possibly going on a Disney Cruise. We have now decided against that, and instead, going back to Florida as a family! Better value for money for us ;)
I began writing my trip reports for Orlando and plan to finish those off in the new year, and hopefully before we go back again!!
Just after my birthday I was invited to attend a masterclass with chef Marco Pierre White at his restaurant, Marco, at Chelsea FC. I, along with several other bloggers learned how to cook the perfect turkey with the trimmings which I shared with you.
I decided to go back and follow the Slimming World plan to help me lose weight as I just couldn’t get back into the dieting zone. I started off, as always with enthusiasm, but eventually gave that up to go back to the Cambridge Weight Plan. I did share some recipes though, including Tuna + Bean Salad and wrote a post about my feelings towards dieting and weight loss called A New Me Again?
With September coming to a close it was time for me to start thinking about my niece’s 1st birthday party and I shared the invitations I designed for her. And of course, start the preparations for my month long Halloween series – Crafty October!
