My Recipe Photo Book [AD]
Home » Ad »Years ago, before digital cameras, we’d all take a roll of photographs and send them off to get processed, excitedly waiting for them to come back so we could see all our treasured memories captured forever in print.
I don’t know about you, but I know that I rarely print off my photographs any more. I always mean to, but never quite doing it.
One thing I’ve been wanting to do for a long time is create my own recipe book using the photos that I’ve taken and the recipes I’ve created – I thought that it would make a handy (and personal) gift for someone – as well as to myself! I was approached by Vistaprint to create a recipe photo book I jumped at the chance!
I visited Vistaprint’s website and was able to choose from various photo book sizes and layouts and got busy with my book editing! You can create your book with their online editor, or download an editor to your computer. I did the latter as I have a shoddy internet connection on some days and I would have hated for my work to go belly up!
It took me a while to go through all of my recipes and decide which ones to use, but in the end, I created a ‘Salads’ book with 12 of my favourite recipes. Here is how it turned out…
I absolutely LOVE it! It is fab to see my photos in print, and having turned them into my own personal recipe book is awesome! I plan on making more books so that I have a set of them – I love cookery books and having my ‘own’ to sit on the shelf…well, who wouldn’t get a kick out of that?!
I found the editor very easy to use – the pages are pre-filled with templates, which you can use, or delete and create your own layouts. You can format the text easily, add backgrounds and place images where you want. It uses fonts from your computer, so you can style pages exactly as you want.
On the back I was able to put a little bit of blurb – made me feel like an author of a cook book!
Disclosure: I received this photo book for free from Vistaprint for purposes of this review. All opinons are my own.
