At the back of our garden is a huge hedge, made up of a few different plants, including brambles (great for blackberries in the autumn!), a vine, and another plant that I can’t identify. Every year it turns into a gorgeous sea of reds, and I kept meaning to take a photo of the leaves for this year’s photography project (as I have done in the past) but just didn’t get around to it. Pretty much all of the leaves have fallen off, and the rain has turned many into mulch. I rescued this one for today’s photo. It’s not a red as I would have liked, but it’ll do.

I enjoyed Project 365 – taking a photo a day – for 5 years : 2011 | 2012 | 2013 | 2014 | 2015, and decided to take a break in 2016. I couldn’t give up on a photography project completely, so I’ve decided to partake in Project 52 – a photo a week for one year.
