Project 365 - 2017 - Day 9: Silhouette of trees in the forest on a grey day

I didn’t sleep well at all last night. It felt extra dark this morning, and so I ended up falling back to sleep after Steve went off to work. I’m ashamed to say I didn’t wake up till after 10am! That in itself took away most of my morning rituals, so automatically I am behind on everything today. Then my brother and parents popped in for a quick visit, that ended up being about an hour or so – not that I mind at all – I love seeing them. So by the time I actually started work proper it was already mid afternoon!

Suffice to say I’ve not been anywhere today. It’s been raining all day too so that hasn’t helped… BUT I’m not feeling miserable about it. I’ve actually been very productive behind the scenes of my blog, and feeling very focused about things, which I haven’t felt in a long time. It’s a nice feeling. My mind is in a lot happier place – my body just needs to catch up so that I can do all the things that I want to do!

I’ve been taking part in Project 365 – a photo a day for one year, since 2011. I took a break in 2016, but couldn’t leave the photography project behind completely, and so did Project 52 – a photo a week for one year. I decided at the very last moment, that I would come back to Project 365 for 2017, because I have missed it more than I realised! The project, over the years, has not only helped to improve my photography, but it also became an daily photo diary. I love looking back and remembering the days of the year(s) gone by, and that is one of the biggest things I missed at the end of 2016,

I have quite the archive of photos on my blog, which you can take a peek at below.
