Project 365 - 2017 - Day 8: Holly leaves in the forest

For some reason I really struggle to take photos of holly. I never quite get the focus right. I’m not convinced that I did that with this photo of some holly in the forest, but I like the edit that I did to the picture, so it made its way into this year’s Project 365.

On another note, I’ve just placed my order for Project 52’s photo book, and can’t wait to see all the photos printed. I really love the process of compiling a book of photos – Project 52 was so quick to put together compared with Project 365. Obviously – less photos! It did highlight to me though how easy it is to take sub-par photos when you’re not in the mood to take them, or just throw in a picture for the sake of it. I’m really going to endeavour to have photos that I am proud of each and every day throughout 2017!

I’ve been taking part in Project 365 – a photo a day for one year, since 2011. I took a break in 2016, but couldn’t leave the photography project behind completely, and so did Project 52 – a photo a week for one year. I decided at the very last moment, that I would come back to Project 365 for 2017, because I have missed it more than I realised! The project, over the years, has not only helped to improve my photography, but it also became an daily photo diary. I love looking back and remembering the days of the year(s) gone by, and that is one of the biggest things I missed at the end of 2016,

I have quite the archive of photos on my blog, which you can take a peek at below.
