Ooh, my first proper outing of 2017 – a trip to my beauty therapist for my waxing! I built her website, and also take the photos of her salon to put on it. She’s just had a new Japanese garden area put in, and wanted some photos taken. I hadn’t brought my camera with me, so will have to do that next time, but I did get a snap for Project 365 with my phone. I would love a little area like this in our garden, as it feels very calming. This is just one part of the area, with a stone lantern (it may have another name/description!) and a trio of shrubs.
Today has felt positive for me. Being out and about perked me up, and I’m starting to get back into the blogging grove too. I’m planning blog ideas for the coming months, and have a couple of courses that I’m working my way through to improve my knowledge. I weighed myself today as a starting weight for the year. Not as horrific as I thought it would be after Christmas, but it’s given me focus to carry on with the Slimming World plan. I am also keeping a food diary so that I can keep myself accountable.
I’ve been taking part in Project 365 – a photo a day for one year, since 2011. I took a break in 2016, but couldn’t leave the photography project behind completely, and so did Project 52 – a photo a week for one year. I decided at the very last moment, that I would come back to Project 365 for 2017, because I have missed it more than I realised! The project, over the years, has not only helped to improve my photography, but it also became an daily photo diary. I love looking back and remembering the days of the year(s) gone by, and that is one of the biggest things I missed at the end of 2016,
