I am not really sure when/how my obsession with pumpkins happened… it may well have been back when I was about 13 years old and was out shopping around Halloween and bought a super cute pumpkin from Clinton Cards. I still have it and I will have to get a photo of it for Project 365 (I may have shared it in years past, I can’t remember!) But since then I’ve collected so many pumpkin knick-knacks! Some are really tacky, but some are gorgeous. I will also have to get a photo of all the pumpkin stuff I have collection over the years – I’m obsessed ha!
The one in the photo isn’t mine. It was part of a display in the Halloween Barn at Norpar Barns, and I don’t think it was for sale… or they may have had some for sale, but not this particular one. I’m actually a bit bummed I didn’t buy it as I think it is adorable! I might have to go back and check.
I’ve been taking part in Project 365 – a photo a day for one year, since 2011. I took a break in 2016, but couldn’t leave the photography project behind completely, and so did Project 52 – a photo a week for one year. I decided at the very last moment, that I would come back to Project 365 for 2017, because I have missed it more than I realised! The project, over the years, has not only helped to improve my photography, but it also became an daily photo diary. I love looking back and remembering the days of the year(s) gone by, and that is one of the biggest things I missed at the end of 2016,
I have quite the archive of photos on my blog, which you can take a peek at below.
