Today’s post is about what I think is the most fabulous feature I’ve seen in a hotel lobby…ever! This gorgeous waterfall is was at The Polynesian Resort…it’s being removed as part of a renovation programme; which will also see the name of it changed to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which was actually it’s original name back in the 1970s.
I’m just so glad that we got a chance to see this beautiful water feature when we visited the hotel last summer to have dinner at ‘Ohana. I’m also gutted we’ll never get to see it again!
I hope that you enjoyed looking at the beautiful feature waterfall!

That’s gorgeous! It’s always hard when things change but it makes me wonder what they’re going to change it for – I bet it will be spectacular!

From what I’ve read, it doesn’t seem to be as spectacular as this…time will tell!

Farewell waterfall, I’m so sad…but happy that I got to take my boys to see it when we stayed there last November for the month. I was so ill with morning sickness that the smell made me gag, but I just loved it. Such a sad loss :(

Ooh, you lucky duck to be able to stay there – I would love to! I didn’t notice the smell (from what I can remember at least) but I have read of other people complaining about it >_<

I am SO gutted that it’s going away. I’ve been going to the Polynesian since I was 1.5 years old. After nearly 30 stays at the Poly over the past 30-odd years, I am thinking about switching resorts because it just doesn’t feel like “home” to me any more. Everything that was meaningful to me there is gone/going away.

Oh no…that’s so sad for you :( To have 30 years of staying there and it changing so that you don’t go is awful…I hope that they replace it with something amazing.

Disney land and Orlando bring back memories of so many holidays with the children when they were young.
