In reply to <a href="https://www.thepurplepumpkinblog.co.uk/one-pan-paleo-breakfast/#comment-16679">Angela A</a>.

Thank you Angela. It's a forever goal for me, in that I've been on a diet of some sort since the age of 10 and I'm a couple years shy of 40 now. I guess it just proves that diets don't really work! Putting back on the weight that I lost, and more has actually destroyed me mentally, as well as physically...

I'm focusing on my fitness and health rather than weight, because I know, that when I was just a couple of stones lighter (yet still very overweight) I could swim 64 lengths of the pool in an hour, 5 days a week - out swimming my half my size husband by about four times!

I am doing this for me, to make me happy again, and that is the most important thing, whatever my size xx

Good luck with the weight loss. I've lost a stone since November using my fitness pal and, like you, I am a serial yo-yo dieter. I lost 10 stone on Weight Watchers, getting to goal almost 10 years ago and since then have gained back 9 stone of it. This time, like you, I do not have any super low goals, or time frame. I had a burger and a milkshake this week and still lost. Just means I don't lose as quickly, but better that than lose one week and gain it all back the next! Good luck and keep remembering that you're doing this for you. xx

It has been a fascinating watch, I agree.

As we watching it tick over from the 70s to the 80s you can clearly see why we have a national problem with health! It's time we stopped thinking we have to have everything right this minute now, and make time for cooking from scratch like we did in the 50s and 60s!

I hope that this is the time I do it... my profile on MFP is LastDitchAttempt, because that's where I feel I am in my life!

I've been watching that back in time program too, it's fascinating.

I do believe a lot of our problems these days come from over-processed foods and cleaner eating is the way to go.

Best of luck, sounds like you're taking a very sensible approach.
