Since I’m in full on retrospective mode as I while the day away waiting for my husband to come home from work, I thought I would share my favourite posts of 2014, month by month!
It’s hard to pick just one post, but here they are…
January – Mixology Mocktail Masterclass
As part of Dry January, I took a part in several activities in collaboration with BRITA. One of them was a mixology mocktail masterclass in London. I went with my husband and we had a fun night out together!
February – Fifteen Years Of Birthdays
My son turned 15 in February, and as well as an annual photo of him, I also shared fifteen years of his birthday parties. It was nice to look back!
March – Happy Mother’s Day Mum
An post written for my mum to celebrate Mother’s Day – it made me cry, it made her cry!
Hubs and I went to the UK Blog Awards in which I was a finalist in the lifestyle category. I didn’t win, but we had a good time dressing up for the black tie event!
As part of my #100DaysOfDisney I wrote about character dining at Walt Disney World. It was lovely to look back on our previous holidays to Orlando, Florida.
June – Happy Father’s Day Dad
A post written for my dad for Father’s Day. It made me cry, I bet it made him cry too!
July – Goodyear Driving Academy
My son was picked to go on a young driver lesson at the Goodyear Driving Academy. I was so impressed with his skills at driving a car for the first time ever – he didn’t stall once! He did better than me on my first lesson.
August – Our Wedding Day Flashback
I discovered a write up of our wedding day on my computer which I wrote shortly after we got married on 5th August 2009. I thought it would be nice to share it on my blog. It was also fab to read back about my thoughts on that day.
September – Our Weekend in Romney Sands
A blog post which was split over lots of smaller ones. We had an awesome time with my sister and her family in a caravan for the weekend. It might have been autumn, but the weather was lovely and we spent a lot of time on the beach across the road.
I love taking photographs and if you are a regular reader of my blog you know this to be fact! I thought I would share some tips for taking great family photos you’ll treasure…because I know that I treasure mine.
November – Growing Up In A Pub
A look back to my childhood growing up in a pub! I love the memories that I have, and I hope to write more about them on my blog in 2015.
December – Reflections and Resolutions
After a very up and down year I wrote this piece to reflect on the year that has been, and what I wanted from the year to come.
I hope you enjoy reading back through some of my favourite posts of 2014! Do you have any favourites on The Purple Pumpkin Blog?
