I've not used royal icing on Rice Krispie treats before so couldn't say for sure. But the icing shouldn't take more than a day to harden, if not sooner - so my guess is they should be fine? I mean, I buy them from Walt Disney World in packages and they can't all be freshly made on that day right?

I’m making Rice Krispie treats for a gender reveal party, and using royal icing. Will the treats dry out too much while waiting for the icing to dry?
