It is established that I’m a sucker for Disney merchandise, and this week I’m sharing some finds from DisneyStore.com, which I know can also be bought at stores in Walt Disney World. I know, because I’ve bought ’em! There are lots of kitchen and homewares, in different styles, available at Disney; I have picked out the Mickey & Minnie stuff. The DisneyStore.co.uk has some fab stuff too, so worth checking out if you’re not headed to Walt Disney World any time soon!
I know that the same merchandise is on sale, year in, year out, but of course, they can withdraw stuff at any time, similarly, there is often new stuff to buy too. I wouldn’t go the whole hog mouse, and kit our kitchen out in Mickey & Minnie stuff, I’m sure that would be grounds for divorce, but some fun items already have a home in our kitchen!
The measuring cups for a start – one which my husband managed to break, so I’m going to have to replace those this year. I also really love the Mickey hand measuring spoons – so cute! I’ve also got my eye on the cutlery as I’ve not seen that before, and we could do with some new knives and forks…
My absolute favourite thing is my Mickey Mouse cookie jar, that I bought on our very last day in Animal Kingdom… after we’d packed our suitcases, and sent them on their way to the airport via Virgin’s check-in desk at Downtown Disney. I had a moment of panic that I wouldn’t be allowed to take it on the plane as carry-on, but it was fine! I’d kept seeing it for sale during our holiday, and was uhming and ahhing about buying it. I decided I simply MUST have it, just in case we never go back to Walt Disney World (and we all know how that panned out!)

It’s great in there isn’t it? I love a bit of shopping at Downtown Disney! That’s good to know about the cutlery – I’m definitely going to check it out this year. OMG, that Mickey toaster sounds AWESOME!!

I love that cookware shop at Downtown Disney, it is ideal kitchen porn on one side and The Earl of Sandwich on the other! All I have bought so far are my Disney mugs, I have got the one with animal print mickey heads all over over and a Jack Skellington mug. I need more!

Earl of Sandwich… *drools* I love the Disney mugs – we’ve got a few from our travels to WDW as well as from shops over here in the UK. Need a good place to display them all now!

I would be in kitchen heaven, though I think I may have a divorce on my hands lol. I did the same with a minnie mouse umbrella last year, panicked as it was too big for luggage, but I was allowed to take it on. I didn’t want to have to leave it there, I love Minnie Mouse.

Haha, you and me both! My panic these days is making sure I have enough room in our suitcase – I’ve been known to leave older clothes behind to make room >_>
