Poundland is one of my favourite shops for great value items when it comes to throwing a party. I love that everything is a pound, and that it really helps when sticking to a budget! There is a really fab range of Halloween goodies this year, and I was sent a £20 voucher to spend on our Halloween party this year. Since that is on Friday, I won’t be able to show you until after the event, but I wanted to show you some of the range, which includes some of the things I bought!
All parties need decorations, and you don’t need to spend a fortune. I find the simplest, most effective decoration for Halloween is packets of spiderwebs! One bag contains a LOT! Throw it all over the place and instant spooky decor! I’ve bought the paper chandelier and spider, from this selection, as well as the tinsel which will go on my two Halloween trees (yes, I have trees at Halloween!) I also bought, from their Christmas range 4 sets of teeny tiny fairy lights – a bargain at a pound each!
You don’t have to spend a fortune to dress up at Halloween – deck the kids out in black, red, orange or green and paint their faces instead! I loved the little witches hats (I bought one in purple, natch) There are also a selection of masks and hair pieces too!
If you’re serving food and drink at your party (which I’m sure you are, what is a party without food and drink?!) then Poundland have some cheap and cheerful items to get your buffet table ready. From spooky plates and cups to plastic cauldron to fill with crisps or popcorn! I like the skull shot glasses – I’ve bought these in previous years and they’re fab for jelly!
Trick or Treat
Finally, if you’re going out trick or treating with your kids, you’ll need something to hold all the treats in, and there was a cute selection of bags and pails. If you’re staying in and welcoming the little ghosties and witches at your door, stock up on the bags of treats for just a pound a throw!
So if you’ve only got a few quid in your purse to organise something for Halloween this Friday, head down to Poundland to grab a bargain!
As well as sharing my ideas each day for my favourite time of the year, I’m also holding a #CraftyOctober Link Party for bloggers to share their Halloween posts. If you’re a blogger, then do check out the party – I can’t wait to see your posts!
