Free Printable Easter Decorations
Paper chains have got to be one most simple homemade decorations that you can make. Not just for Easter, but for any celebration! You’ll find lots of free printable paper chains in my archives.
Kids can practise their cutting skills as they chop up the sheet of strips for looping together to make chains. I know when I was a kid, my sister and I would make paper chains, and have competitions to see who could make the longest chain!
You might be thinking it’s a bit early for Easter isn’t it? Especially as it falls quite late in 2019, with Easter Sunday being April 21st. However, I’ve been saying for years that I want to get myself ahead with providing you with ideas and inspiration for the different holidays, events, and seasons – and I’ve finally done it!

How To Assemble Easter Paper Chains
- Print as many pages of the paper chains as you need onto good quality paper – you don’t want the chains to be too flimsy – then cut into strips. I’ve placed block colour strips between each patterned strips – this should be enough to guide as you cut with scissors. You could also use a paper cutter which would make the job a lot quicker.
- Take one of the strips and add a dab of glue (I used a glue roller, as you’ll see in the video; you could also use a glue stick) on one end, and fold around to form a circle. This is the first loop in your chain. Now, slid another strip of paper into that loop, add a dab of glue on the end, and fold around to form a circle that is attached to the first loop.
- Continue linking the loops until you get the length of chain you desire.
Craft supplies you might need
- Thin [White] Card
- Thick [White] Paper
- Paper Scissors
- Glue Roller – this is the one I used in my video,
- Glue Stick
