Another catch up post from Christmas which seems so long ago now! It’ll be a quick post, because these were really quick to make!
These festive mincepie pinwheels make a nice change from boring old mince pies that you buy from the supermarket at Christmas time and you only need two ingredients – a jar of sweet mincemeat and a roll of puff pastry!
Sprinkle your surface with some flour so that the pastry doesn’t stick and unroll it from its wrapper, then smother it with the jar of mincemeat.
Start to roll it up like a swiss roll and then brush some water along the edge to make the pastry stick together.
Then cut into slices and place on a greased baking sheet and pop into the oven at about 180C for 15-20 minutes until golden.
They are best served warm with a dollop of cream!
Remember this recipe and try them next Christmas!! They were even enjoyed be people who don’t really like mince pies!
