Disney Weenies | Disney Wordless Wednesday
Home » Everything Disney »I know this is supposed to be a Wordless Wednesday post, but I had to search for what Disney Weenies are, and well, I learned something new today –
A Weenie is what Walt Disney and his Imagineers called the iconic structures or focal points in each of the Disney parks and lands. They are big enough to be seen from a distance and interesting enough to draw you closer for a better look. Examples would be Spaceship Earth, Space Mountain, Big Thunder, The Sorcerer’s Hat, The Tree of Life and all the wonderful castles to name a few. -Deb, Focused on the Magic
To that end, I’m sharing Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Paris from our day-trip in 2010 and so glad that I now know that these iconic structures are called weenies!!

What a beautiful castle! I love the way the gold sparkles in the sun. We almost made it to Disneyland Paris last December. I so wish we had! That is a dream trip!!

Oh wow. I wish we made it to Disneyland Paris one of these years. I’m trying to figure out a way to tie it in to a Transatlantic Disney Cruise some year.

We’re lucky to live in the UK, so Paris isn’t too far – can even get there by train!

It’s so long ago that we were in Paris – 2010! I’d love to go back now that I can take a better photograph lol! Maybe I can persuade the hubs, since we won’t be doing Florida next year…!
