On our first visit to Walt Disney World in 2011 I discovered Disney Trading Pins – cute little trinkets that you can buy, collect and swap with other pin traders, including some Cast Members. The pins feature Disney characters, attractions, icons, events and other elements. There is tons of info about Disney pins on Wiki.
I’m a bit of a sucker for collectible items, and the fact that I could pin them to my lanyard was a bonus! There are pin trading kiosks and carts in the theme parks, and there is a big store at Downtown Disney which is where my photographs for this week’s Wednesday Around The World are from!
The store must have thousands of different pins for sale, and they range in price from $7.95, so it’s not a cheap hobby! But they are very popular and I love seeing guests walking around with their pins – they’re fun to look at too!
I bought these sets – pricey, but too cute for me to say no to! I will be adding to my collection on our forthcoming trip this summer!
Are you a Disney pin collector?
