The bathroom situation was kind of weird in the villa. There was a bathroom with a rolltop bath and sink/vanity; a shower room with sink/vanity; and the toilet was in a separate room on it’s own.

But there were doors which closed on one room but not the other (I wish I had taken photos of the doors), so if there are four people staying in the villa, I’m not sure how that would work out for privacy.

It was only Steve and myself, so it didn’t matter, but we did comment on the strange layout.

And I made sure to have a bath in the rolltop bath – it was so deep and luxurious! Although, be careful stepping out of the bath as it’s up on a platform.

The shower was a nice, large step-in shower, but the sink and vanity area was smaller than the other bathroom.

Another perk of staying in a 1-bedroom (or 2 or 3 bedroom) villa at Disney is that you get your own washing machine and dryer in your room. In studio rooms you have to use the launderette.

We took advantage of having washing facilities in our room and cleaned all our stuff from the previous days!

Our luggage still hadn’t shown up, so we decided to head back out and wander around the resort.

I was so annoyed at myself for not thinking about taking our swimming gear with us – we were missing out on quality pool time – and it was quiet too, so an absolutely perfect time to go!

We walked past Stormalong Bay (more about it when we actual visit!) and round into the main lobby of Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

Some of the Disney Resorts have a smell associated with them. I don’t know what it is at Beach Club, but I absolutely adore it! I wanted to go into the main building just so I could have a big old sniff! If anyone reading this knows what the aroma is or knows of a dupe room fragrance or candle, help a girl out! I need to smell that Beach Club Resort smell again!

As well as that smell, I also love the decor and style around BCR. I am naturally attracted to the ocean and the beach, and I love seeing all the seashell and sea life details every where, along with other beachy stuff.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, which is just next door to Beach Club, and shares the pool and other amenities, has, as you will have guessed by the name, and nautical theme. Of the two, BCR is my absolute favorite!

We stopped at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop to get an ice cream to share and sat in the sun to enjoy it.

The receipt tells me we got a double waffle cone to go and it cost $7.99 with tax.

What flavor did we get? I have no idea, but I know it was good!

However, I found a photo of the shop sign and that tells me that the flavors to choose from were: Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate Chip, Cookies ‘n’ Cream, Butter Pecan, and Rainbow Sherbet.

I’m going to hazard a guess that we had Butter Pecan and Rainbow Sherbet!

Beaches & Cream Ice cream

Beaches & Cream is the home of the famous Kitchen Sink dessert, which we ate with friends on our 2013 trip. It is a HUGE dessert with 8 scoops of ice cream, a whole can of whipped cream and tons of other fillings and toppings! It took seven of us to devour it!

Beaches & Cream is a popular dining location, that is open for lunch and dinner. Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) are highly recommended if you want to sit inside.

Sadly, I couldn’t get an ADR during our stay, but they do have a to-go window for ice creams and drinks – see our ice cream above!
