From previous visits to Disney’s Beach Club Resort (BCR), we knew that the Beach Club Villas (BCV) – the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) part of BCR is in a separate area from the main resort. It has a parking lot that is very nearby, so we drove straight to that part of the resort and went to find our villa.

We have wanted to stay at BCV for a while now, and this trip was the perfect opportunity to do so! There was only 1 bedroom villas available for our stay, so we splashed out on the DVC points and booked two nights here.

With the amazing pool area (which is like a mini waterpark in itself!) called Stormalong Bay, the shared amenities with Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and the fact that you can walk to Epcot from these resorts made it so worth it!

After finding our room and letting ourselves in with our Magic Bands, we found that our luggage had not arrived yet (it was about 3pm by now) and called Bell Services to find out if it had arrived yet.

Unfortunately there had been some sort of delay and we soon learned a few things about transference of luggage!

You see, I was longing to get in the pool – it was a gorgeous hot day (the temperature was up and down at this time of year) and we wanted to make the most of Stormalong Bay! BUT, we didn’t have any of our swimming gear.

So, if you are switching resorts it is worth keeping a day bag with you with swim suits and a change of clothes so that you can use the pool. Just because your room isn’t ready, doesn’t mean you can’t use the resort’s facilities!

And the time that your luggage gets delivered to your next resort isn’t guaranteed – it’s just a guide time. So if you need specific items, take them along with you (such as toys or tech for the kids).

We loved resort hopping, and packed well for this kind of trip, but will certainly consider a few tweaks the next time we do it!

Right, on with a tour of villa 366 which is on a corner part of the building and has a split balcony overlooking a swimming pool. It’s a great room and location for sure.

The view to the right is of a river, which is a great place to see wildlife. The parking lot is just over the bridge.

As you enter the villa there is a little hallway area that leads into the open plan living room, dining area, and kitchen! Not that we made use of it on this trip, but having a full kitchen is a great way to save money on food when on vacation!

There is a tall fridge/freezer, coffee machine, an oven with stovetop, a microwave, and everything you need to prepare and serve food in your room – pots, pans, plates, knives, forks, glasses, etc. There is even a dishwasher, so you don’t even have to worry about doing the dishes (unless you want to of course as there is a sink too!). Just remember to bring some dishwashing tablets with you.

There is a breakfast bar area with two chairs, and a dining table with a bench. You can move the chairs to the dining table if required. But they’re moved to the bar for space.

In the living room is a large sofa (which turns into a bed), a coffee table, arm chair, sideboard and large, flat screen television.

The villa has a lovely bright, airy feel to it with white, taupe and pastels. There are little Disney touches like Flounder from The Little Mermaid hiding in the soft furnishings! As well as other details like the starfish on the kitchen door handles or the anchor coat hooks!

At the end of the room are sliding doors out onto one of the two balconies.

Into the bedroom next which had a huge king size bed with a towel Mickey head on top, as well as some information sheets about the daily room checks – which came in after the tragic shooting in Las Vegas.

There is a nightstand next to the bed on one side, and a desk with chair on the other. A chest of drawers is opposite the bed with another large flat screen TV.

An arm chair sits in the corner next to the balcony doors, and there is a big mirror above the desk, as well as an (almost) full length mirror next to the dresser with an ottoman underneath.

For the shorter folk out there, the bed is really high, but it is super comfy!
