Placing an order on the touch screens was very simple – you just follow the steps on the screen. If you need help, there are Cast Members around to help you out. Once ordered and paid for, you can finally step into the restaurant proper and find a table in one of the three rooms.

As previously mentioned, we could only find a table in The Castle Gallery, but after eating our lunch, we did peek into both The West Wing and The Grand Ballroom.

I’ll go in reverse order for the next batch of photos though!

The Grand Ballroom was exactly that – grand – with beautiful chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling that was painted with a sky full of angels on clouds. This is the biggest of the three rooms, and I think where I would have liked to have been able to sit.

The West Wing was very dark and small, and you can barely see a thing! However, it is where the Enchanted Rose is located so you will want to take a moment to head into this room just to see that. I do not fancy sitting in this room, purely because of how dark it is.

The Castle Gallery is a more open space with lots of framed paintings on the walls and larger-than-life statues of Beauty and the Beast dancing in their finery – and I am pretty sure it spun around too!

The food at Be Our Guest has a French flair to it with entrées included French Dip Sandwich, Vegetable Quiche, and Tuna Niçoise Salad.

There are kid’s options including Mickey Meatloaf, Les Macaronis Maurice (macaroni with marinara sauce and vegetables) and Chip’s Delight (grilled cheese sandwich and turkey noodle soup).

Desserts are a variety of pastries and cupcakes, and alcoholic beverages include beer, wine, and cocktails like Peach Bellini and Mimosa.

Entrée…

Me: Croque Monsieur – Grilled Sandwich of Carved Ham, Gruyère, and Béchamel with Pommes Frites. ($14.99)

Steve: Carved Turkey Sandwich– Served warm on a Baguette with Dijon Mayonnaise and Pommes Frites ($15.99)

To Share: French Onion Soup ($7.99)

Unfortunately, the food in Be Our Guest, for us on this occasion was below par. I ordered the Croque Monsieur because I had heard it was a good sandwich – it wasn’t. Mine felt a bit overdone, and tasteless.

Steve’s turkey sandwich was just “okay”; and the soup – oh my, it tasted just awful.

Should we have said something to a Cast Member? Yes, probably, but it was so busy, and trying to catch one was difficult. Sometimes you just chalk up a meal to experience.

The two cupcakes were nice – however, they are a LOT smaller than your usual Disney cupcake (albeit a little cheaper) but this was disappointing!

Maybe dinner would be better than lunch at Be Our Guest, but I certainly won’t be rushing to go back here. At least we can say we’ve dined at BOG I guess? Such a shame really.

Magic Kingdom

Bill: $52.94 + Tax: $3.45 + Tip: $0 = $56.39

Total Paid: $56.39

We hung out in Magic Kingdom for a little longer and we did another first – Pin Trading! I’ve been collecting Disney pins for years now, but I’ve never done any trading. So that was a lot of fun!

And you know what, I think this might be one of the first times I’ve been to Magic Kingdom and not taken a photo of Cinderella Castle… from the front! So here is the back side instead!

With our half-day at Magic Kingdom complete we drove over to Disney’s Beach Club Resort as we received a text to say that our room was ready. They’re not officially available until 4pm, but sometimes, they are ready earlier, and it can be handy when they are!
