August 20th, 2014 …Continued from Part 3…

There was a short break between the first and second part of the show, by this point we were being served dessert, and this enabled you to concentrate more on the show. And a good thing too, as the second part was filled with traditional Polynesian dancing, plus the star of the show at the end – the AMAZING fire knife dance. It was all truly mesmerizing to watch!

It was full of excitement, scantily clad men and women shaking their money maker and lots of drums! Now THIS is what you call a show, we really loved this!

First off, the traditional dances from Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand and Hawaii.

Starting with a Tahitian Ceremonial Dance…

Followed by the Hawaiian Hula…

Next, the Hawaiian Hula Kahiko telling the story of the Pele, the volcano Goddess…

We then had music played on a fangufangu (Tongan nose flute), a Tongan Paddle Dance and a Maori Warrior…
