Day 7: She’s Back! / Four Resorts, Two Festivals 2019
Home » Everything Disney » Walt Disney World Trip Reports » Day 7: She’s Back! / Four Resorts, Two Festivals 2019 »The finale of the Festival of Fantasy parade is a procession of characters starting with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs who are followed by Alice, the White Rabbit, and the Mad Hatter.
Jiminy Cricket isn’t far behind, as he walks and dances along with the Bubble Girls whose costumes are so bright and fun!
Then comes the Storybook Circus inspired float with Pinocchio sat on the head of a big blue whale – and Dumbo sits on the whale’s tail, with tons of bubbles blowing into the air!
Pink Elephants are atop a swing ride, as well as a mini rollercoaster complete with a loop-de-loop, and a Ferris wheel. A super fun float for sure!
The whale pulls along the second part of the float which features Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Pluto.
This float pays homage to Fantasia, with the dancing hippos in their tutus held aloft by their alligator partners.
Mini Pegasus horses surround an elephant which holds a swing for two performers to swing back and forth as the parade rolls by.
Chip ‘n’ Dale and Goofy walk behind the float, dressed in magician’s top hat and capes, with some more dancers following behind in candy-striped dresses.
This heralds the arrival of the hot air balloon with Mickey and Minnie in the basket waving to the crowd. This marks the end of the parade, which is definitely a must see when you visit Magic Kingdom!
As the parade was coming to an end we got a text to say our room at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa (SSR) was ready. It gave us the room number and the area the room was in (SSR is huge!) so we could head straight there.
Before leaving the park though, we bought a Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade Cup ($5.50) and a popcorn bucket refill ($2) in our Toy Story Alien bucket (that we bought at Disney’s Hollywood Studios).
Disney popcorn is the best and boy do I wish we could buy this frozen lemonade in the UK!
