There are five kids/youth clubs onboard the Disney Magic:
- Oceaneer Club for ages 3-12
- Oceaneer Lab for ages 3-12
- Edge for tweens ages 11-14
- Vibe for teens ages 14-17
- “it’s a small world” Nursery for ages 6 months – 3 years
All but the nursery are free. My understanding on these Staycation cruises was that time slots had to be booked, but on regular cruising, kids can come and go as they please. They have special Magic Bands that allow them to enter and leave each of their club(s), as they are securely locked and staffed.
No kids for us, so I don’t have much more to share about the kids/youth clubs. However, there are times during the cruise that the clubs have what is called an ‘Open House’.
This is a chance for guests of all ages to take a look at all of the club venues.
Oceaneer Club
We only ventured into the Oceaneer Club and Lab as we knew that characters sometimes appear in there. We also wanted to see the MARVEL Superhero Academy in Oceaneer Club because they have a full-size Iron Man suit in there!
The Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab are both on Deck 4 and are connected by a “secret” corridor between them. On the “regular” side corridor, artwork lines the walls, including posters for each of the different areas of the Oceaneer Club: Disney Junior, Andy’s Room, Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow, and MARVEL Superhero Academy.
