Disney Dreams – An Enchanted Classic

We then headed back to our stateroom to get ready for this evening’s show in the Walt Disney Theatre, Disney Dreams – An Enchanted Classic, and for dinner at Rapunzel’s Royal Table.

Photography is not allowed during the actual show, but here are some of the theatre beforehand, as well as a little welcome song from Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto!

Donald’s hat fell off which isn’t something you see every day!

We thought the Disney Dreams show was good – a bit slow to start, and oh so cheesy! But, with musical interludes from classic Disney movies breaking up the dialogue definitely made up for the cheesiness!

The songs, if I recall correctly, started with Cinderella (which was a bit boring), followed by, (in not the right order I’m sure), Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Frozen, and Beauty and the Beast.

The Little Mermaid section was one of the best, really uplifting with “Under the Sea” and lots going on, on the stage.

The show ended with The Lion King and “Circle of Life” which of course had me in tears and was an excellent way to close out the performance.

Here is the description of Disney Dreams – An Enchanted Classic from the Disney Cruise Line website:

Enjoy a touching story about a little girl named Anne Marie who can’t seem to find it in her heart to believe.

The story begins one night as Anne Marie, almost asleep, is visited by several beloved Disney Characters. Each recounts a tale, complete with rousing renditions of treasured songs.

Delight as Mickey, Minnie, The Blue Fairy, Peter Pan, and friends reveal the secret powers of the heroes residing within her own home—and heart.

Main Dining Room: Rapunzel’s Royal Table

Tonight is the final night of this cruise – for most of the passengers, but for us, it leads onto our second Disney cruise!

The main dining room that you have dinner in on the last night of your cruise is where you can go for breakfast in the morning. The time will depend on whether you have a first or second dining time. Your server will give you all the info!

If you are a fan of the movie Tangled, you are in for a real treat at this restaurant as it has a dinner show! Featuring Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, and a couple of Snuggly Duckling Thugs, it’s a foot-stomping, hand-clapping, feast for the eyes and ears!

It does help if you have seen the film, but even if you haven’t, the Thugs will keep you entertained and laughing, and the magic lanterns will enchant you. But more on that shortly, first, let me tell you about the restaurant decor.

There are details everywhere, from the corridor which features wanted posters and is lined with a red carpet that leads to the restaurant’s entrance to the sun symbol that can be seen just about everywhere!

The setting is the Royal Ballroom of the faraway Kingdom of Corona and has a medieval feel with wood paneling and beams. A “stone” floor is littered with purple rugs which the tables and chairs stand upon, and lanterns adorn the ceiling.

Theming is not forgotten at the dining tables from the regal chairs complete with sun symbols to each of the place settings.

There are purple napkins with a gold sun symbol napkin ring, crockery with pretty floral designs, crystal goblets, and a gold bread basket with images from the movie cut out around the edges.

Rapunzel’s Royal Table definitely had my favorite table setting!
