About Seasickness

Once back in our stateroom I took another seasickness tablet, had a shower and a nap, and was right as rain afterward.

Seasickness was something that I worried about before going on this cruise. I have never been a good passenger – when I was a kid I would get sick on plains, trains, and automobiles! I still take travel sickness tablets when we fly now.

In the UK, the best brand I’ve found is Stugeron, in the USA I hear that Dramamine is a good anti-sickness pill to take (you can buy this brand on board the ship).

To be safe, I took Stugeron throughout the whole trip. Steve took one or two on the first day and then was fine after. I didn’t want to take my chances!

The water was pretty calm, so feeling the boat move or rock was minimal. I noticed it the most when I was in the bathroom for some reason. I liken it to the feeling of being on an aeroplane where you can feel the aircraft moving.

We were at the front of the ship, and it didn’t adversely affect us while in our room or while sleeping. The restaurants are at the back (aft) of the ship, and you can feel some rocking back there when the ship is moving, but only very slightly.

If you are worried about seasickness, the best place to book your stateroom is in the middle section of the ship and on the lower decks.

My thoughts and feelings and actual seasickness may change after we’ve been on future cruises!

We were back out on Deck 10 for Freezing the Night Away with Anna, Elsa, and Friends.

(It was absolutely freezing up on this deck, and I was so grateful for my snuggly poncho!)

Dubbed the “Frozen Deck Party”, this was a cute little song-and-dance show with characters from the still very popular movie Frozen!

Knowing it was very popular, and with social distancing, we wanted to grab a spot to view it.

I couldn’t tell you if there was a storyline, but it was fun to watch, and it was awesome to finally see Olaf “in real life” as it were, as he’s one of my favorite characters and I’ve yet to meet him at Walt Disney World!

The show featured a variety of songs from the movies, and ended, of course, with Let It Go and a flurry of snow which made everything even more magical! (Even if the snow was artificial and made of soap!).

It’s easier to just photo dump for now, and add our video in when I’ve uploaded it to YouTube!

We also took some photos of the views as day turned to night which I’ll end this section with,

And you’ll notice in the first couple of photos the wind farm that I mentioned earlier, in the distance!
