While we were wandering around the new DVC area we got a text to say our room was ready, so we turned on our heels and headed over to Boulder Ridge Villas!
Boulder Ridge was also completely new to us – on our previous stay at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge we had only briefly walked past it while getting to other parts of the resort, so this was going to be really exciting!
A wooden walkway leads from the stone path (the latter of which is a crossroads that leads to the Bus Stops, the main Lodge building, and down to the swimming pools) to the building that houses the villas.
As you enter there is a whole new lobby to explore! Nothing as grand as the main one, but still gorgeous nonetheless!
From the lobby, you can reach Sturdy Branches Health Club which is available 24 hours a day and has fitness equipment and a sauna. So if working out is your thing when on vacation, Disney have you covered! There are also bike trails and jogging trails to keep you active too!
The next few photos are from the lobby which also had a lovely cozy and homely feel to it. There was rarely anyone around so we did spend some time just sitting here and relaxing which is a lovely respite from busy parks!
You may not know that Walt Disney loved trains (you do now!) and so there are model trains and other train-themed artifacts dotted around the resort. So that’s the next few pictures covered before we finally get to our room!
