Day 14: Spring Time! / Four Resorts, Two Festivals 2019
Home » Travel »Day 14 of Four Resorts, Two Festivals 2019, the latest of my Disney Trip Reports, is here! Today is our last full day of this trip and we do some shopping (and eating!) at Disney Springs, with dinner in the evening on Disney’s BoardWalk.
The Four Resorts, Two Festivals 2019 Trip Report Index tells you a bit about the planning of this trip, as well as some info about us – me, Michelle; and my husband, Steve. It also, of course, has the full list of days for the trip.
Day 14: Disney Springs
Dinner at Trattoria al Forno
March 8, 2019
Knowing that we are going home in just a few weeks (at the time of writing), it’s fired me up to get this 2019 trip report FINISHED! I’m sorry it took this long to write it…
The last full day of any trip is sad, and we left knowing it would be a couple of years till we would go back. However, we had a Disneyland, California trip planned for 2020, so we didn’t feel too bad.
What we didn’t know at the time, was that it would be our last big overseas trip for over 3 years – thanks of course, to a worldwide pandemic.
I’m keeping all our fingers crossed that there will be no hiccups for our 2022 We’re (Finally) Going Home Trip!
We spent a few hours in the morning packing our suitcases, before driving over to Disney Springs, for lunch, maybe a few snacks, and definitely some shopping!
We parked in the Orange Garage, one of the multistorey parking locations at Disney Springs.
It is complimentary, so you don’t have to worry about finding change for parking, and you exit the garage near the AMC DINE-IN movie theatre.
For wayfinding, this area is roughly the middle section of Disney Springs.
Before some serious shopping, we stopped for lunch at D-Luxe Burger.
For us, it was a light lunch as we shared a burger and large fries!
But the burgers are HUGE, and great for sharing, and the large fries enabled us to try all of the dipping sauces that D-Luxe has to offer!
D-Luxe Burger » Disney Springs
Satisfy your burger cravings at this ranch-inspired eatery offering a variety of menu selections, including gelato shakes and freshly cut fries with house-made dipping sauces.
Walt Disney World
- Barbecued Burger – Two-pressed Signature-blend Patties topped with a Fried Onion Ring, Muenster, Bacon, Barbecue Sauce, Grilled Onion, and Lettuce ($12.49)
- Fresh-cut Fries – Large ($7.49)
- Cherry Coke Float – $7.50
The burgers at D-Luxe Burger are said to be some of the very best that Walt Disney World has to order, and we wholeheartedly agree!
The barbecued burger was fresh and juicy and packed with delicious things.
You can order your burger to be cooked to your liking, we went for medium-well, as not fans of burgers that are too pink (unlike steak where we go medium-rare).
Dipping sauces are complimentary, and as such, we got a little pot of all the ones available at the time:
- Three-Mustard and Honey
- Garlic Ranch
- Curry Ketchup
- Chipotle Mayo
- Horseradish
- Buffalo
All perfect for dipping our large side of fries which are cut with the skin still on and were so good!
For drinks, we shared a Cherry Coke float, which was delicious too. Sadly, floats do not seem to be on the menu anymore.

World of Disney
Lunch finished, we made a beeline for the huge World of Disney store which had had a huge makeover since our last trip.
It was now more light and airy and organised very differently than before. We liked it!
The big merchandise collections in 2019 were Disney Snacks and Mickey’s 90th Birthday.
For me, my receipts tell me that I spent a fair bit of money on Disney Tsum Tsum mini plushes, but I don’t seem to have photos.
But here is a whole bunch of photos of Disney merchandise!
As I mentioned, the merchandise was well organised and themed together as well which made finding things pretty easy.
I do recall us doing this trip on a bit of a spending budget, which means I tried to curb my enthusiasm for Disney merch and didn’t buy nearly as many things as I had coveted!
So here are some more Disney merchandise available in World of Disney in 2019 (and probably not too dissimilar now!)
I kinda wanted the Loungefly bag – but they’re SO expensive – and it was out of this years budget, however, I did buy the very cute hanging picture frame featuring the birds of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room!
