August 25th, 2014 …Continued from Part 3…
We decided to take the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch walked in that general direction to board the Wildlife Express.
The train takes you behind the scenes from Harambe, to Rafiki’s Planet Watch – a 7 minute, 1.2 mile journey past several animal housing and veterinary facilities, for rhinos, elephants and other creatures.
Rafiki’s Planet Watch is a park area dedicated to the preservation and conservation of animals. Here you can get an up-close look at the inner workings of Disney’s Animal Kingdom park and take part in fun-filled, educational activities that help create awareness of animal conservation. Conservation Station is s wildlife conservation center home to animal encounters, interactive exhibits and a veterinary facility – Walt Disney World
Before going inside, we saw Chip ‘n’ Dale Chip ‘n’ Dale having a meet and greet, and since they’re our favourite characters, naturally had to have a few photos!
Of all the characters we’ve met over our trips to Walt Disney World, these two guys are far and away the best! They really live up to their mischievous side, and are so much fun to meet!
We then went inside, where Liam stroked a baby alligator, and I took a selfie with Rafiki!
It’s all about the learning in here, so we took a wander around, before heading back on the train to Harambe – but not before earning another Wilderness Explorers sticker!
