…Continued from Part 2…

We didn’t see Fantasmic on our previous trip to Orlando in 2013, so, with the mention of a special pre-show and the fact that Fantasmic is all about good v evil, we decided we would go to see that. Plus the lines were stupid long to see the Villains, and I didn’t want to waste our night in a queue.

I later found out that my friend and her daughter had lined up for 3 hours to see Maleficent. I thought she was crazy! But as it’s her favourite Villain, for her it was totally worth it she said. She’s my favourite too, but I really didn’t fancy waiting for 3 hours to meet her!

Anyway, I had seen people walking around with glowing poison apples in their drinks, and Steve went to buy me one to take up to Fantasmic with me. You could buy the speciality drinks at a few locations, so he went to the nearest one to line up.

There were two alcoholic cocktails –

Queen’s Demise with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Sour Apple Liqueur, Monin Granny Smith Apple, Sweet-and-Sour, Sprite and a souvenir Poison Apple Glow Cube – $13.25

Evil Elixir – Skyy Vodka, Myer’s Platinum Rum, Chambord, Bols Blue Curacao, Sweet-and-Sour, Sprite and a souvenir Poison Apple Glow Cube – $14.25

And a non-alcoholic cocktail too –

Pain and Panic Punch with Pineapple Juice, Grenadine, Ginger Ale, and a souvenir Poison Apple Glow Cube. $6.49.

Steve had to wait ages as they were making each drink to order. Why they just didn’t have jugs of the stuff to pour out I don’t know – would have been so much faster.

Evil Elixir was my drink of choice, and it was strong! They didn’t skimp on the measures that’s for sure!

Happy that I had an actual souvenir from the night, we walked down Sunset Boulevard towards Fantasmic, hoping we might see some Villains walking around on the way, but nope. They were all around the Streets of America area, which to be fair, it does say on the write up about Villains Unleashed on the Disney Blog that this area would swarming with baddies. However, with so many other areas of the park they could have spaced them out a bit!

From our complaint letter…

We were also extremely disappointed to see that more characters were not walking around the park to give everyone the opportunity of seeing them. The Villians seem to be restricted to certain areas, meaning that if you did want to seem them, you were creating a bottle neck over that area of the park.

We found some seats and sat down to wait for the show to start. The promised pre-show was simply awful! It was 3 people trying to be entertaining and funny with the crowd. You could almost feel the cringe that hung in the air!

Having only seen Fantasmic the once, on our first trip, we had forgotten how good it was, and we thoroughly enjoyed the show. I love how they use the walls of water to project images on to! Here are some of my photos…
