Day 10: Lazy Day! / Four Resorts, Two Festivals 2019
Home » Everything Disney » Walt Disney World » Day 10: Lazy Day! / Four Resorts, Two Festivals 2019 »Upon returning to our room we discovered that Disney had left us a gift. We had told them we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary on this trip, and were very surprised to see an ice bucket holding a bottle of bubbly and a tray of chocolate covered strawberries!
There was also a little notecard which said “Happy 10th Wedding Anniversary Mr & Mrs Ordever! From the Cast of Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts”.
Now, our anniversary is in August – and our original plan was to renew our vows at Walt Disney World. But you know how life is, it can get in the way, and we were not be able to do it at that time, so this trip was in lieu of that. And this was a lovely gesture from the resort!
After a very lazy day, we decided to head out to Epcot World Showcase in the early evening. Epcot is within walking distance of Disney’s Yacht & Beach Clubs Resorts (as well as Disney’s BoardWalk Villas) and is a big perk of staying at these resorts.
We didn’t really do too much at Epcot, just strolled around the World Showcase and looked at some of the topiaries that were up in preparation for the Flower & Garden Festival that would be starting in a couple of days.
We got to see the construction walls surrounding the [still being built at the time] Skyliner, as well as some great views across the water of Disney’s BoardWalk and of Yacht & Beach Club.
There isn’t too much more to report about what we did at Epcot, so here are my remaining images with commentary where needed!
Back at our resort, we picked up dinner from Beach Club Marketplace again and got exactly the same meal as last night. We found there wasn’t much hot food choice in the Marketplace, but this dinner was so good, we didn’t actually mind!

Me: Half Roasted Chicken Dinner – Served with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Seasonal Vegetables, and Cornbread ($12.99)
Steve: Pork Ribs Dinner – Served with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Seasonal Vegetables, and Cornbread ($12.99)
My receipt says that we also bought a “Salad Your Way” for $11.49 – but I’ve got no idea what we had in that as I do not have any photographic evidence!
There is also another couple of items listed which I think may be a loaf of bread and a pack of butter, which we probably bought to have a quick breakfast the next morning.
