My partner and I were right up against stage centre. We were transfixed. We all sung along except when sheer joy gave way to sobbing such was the ecstasy of his angelic voice, exceptional music and his unimaginable flawless performance. Music and performance never had such a powerful emotional response in me, and no other since.
