I have lots of “Build-A-Characters” on my blog and plan on creating lots more, including more Disney (Star Wars and Marvel) characters!

If you are a regular on my blog, you’ll notice that my characters have a cute chubby style, and if they are animals they are anthropomorphic, which means they have human traits – like standing on two legs instead of four.

With his long coat, The Child looks a bit more egg-like than most, but he’s my spin on this cutie!

Two Printable Sizes

I’ve created two sizes for the Baby Yoda/Grogu paper template:

  • Regular size, with all of the pieces on one sheet of paper, and creates a character around 4″/10cm tall. (This is the image at the top of the post.)
  • Large size with the pieces spread over several sheets. This creates a character around 12″/30cm tall.

How To Use the Build the Baby Yoda Paper Free Template

The regular-size printable is for children who are more skilled at cutting.

The large size should be a lot easier for younger children.

Or you could cut them out for them.

Of course, you know your children, so you will know what suits them best!

Once cut, place the pieces in the correct order to figure out where everything goes before sticking them in place.

You can stick the pieces together with a glue stick or sticky tape.

I like using this roller glue because it is easy to use and has less sticky mess!

For an extra crafty dimension, why not mount the character onto a larger piece of paper and use other craft materials to embellish it?

For example, glitter, furry fabric, craft foam, or tissue paper, to name a few.

You can use a laminator, laminate the pieces, and use them repeatedly.

Fun Ways To Use The Grogu Printable

A fun way to use the regular-size printable is to mount the picture of Baby Yoda onto folded card stock and turn it into a greeting card for a birthday party, Christmas, or Valentine’s Day.

Look online for some cute puns like Baby, Yoda One For Me! or Happy Birthday Baby, Yoda Best!

Use split pins to construct the characters instead of glue to make the Grogu moveable!

Or why not number each piece and turn it into a fun game with dice? Throw the dice, and each time a number is rolled, you take that piece – the first one to complete their character is the winner!

Grab some popsicle sticks and use the regular-sized Grogu to make adorable stick puppets. They are a great way to explore role-playing or storytelling.

You could use a hole punch to make holes into the completed Grogu, thread ribbon, or string and hang them as bunting around the room for a Star Wars-themed party!

But most of all, just have fun with this Grogu printable!

Download the printable PDF file from the list further down the page and print it onto thick paper or thin card. Cut the pieces out, then build Baby Yoda!

You can also buy the Baby Yoda Coloring Sheet in our shop, which can then be cut out and built just like our free version here!
