August 21st, 2014 …Continued from Part 2…

We decided to head over into Future World to go on a couple of rides, but stopped off to do a bit of snacks-to-take-home shopping! We used quite a lot of our snack credits in this way – free gifts for everyone back home!

We bought some bags of popcorn (no photo I’m afraid), some Goofy Candy Co. sweets, Mickey Puffy Cheese Crackers, and we must have picked up a Mickey Rice Krispie Treat at some stage as well, but I can’t find the receipt for that, but I’ve got a photo of it! We also bought a couple of frozen lemonades (no photo again) to slurp on.

As we walked through the walkway between World Showcase and Future World, I stopped to watch the Monorail going over the water – it was a photo I HAD to get! I do have a bit of a weird fascination with that vehicle!

We stopped off in the Cool Zone to do exactly that, cool off and knock back a few freebie drinks! Some have changed since our last visit, which hubs wasn’t too happy about as his favourite had gone. Mine (from Japan) was still there, and so was the dreaded Beverley!

We then walked in the direction of Captain EO – you never know when a ride is going to disappear, and as Michael Jackson fans we wanted to see this! I don’t care if it’s dated, I have always loved MJ and think this is a great little film.

We hung around in this area to watch the jumping water fountains, and of course, trying to catch them!

The weather was exceptionally hot today and Liam decided by now that he really wanted to go in the pool back at Old Key West. I really wanted to go on Living With The Land, we agreed we would go home after this one last ride!

Living With The Land is a gentle boat ride that takes you on an agricultural journey (sounds like a snooze fest, but I find it really interesting!) through the greenhouses of Epcot where they grow many of the fruits and vegetables used in Disney restaurants.

Whenever we have been on this ride, we tend to sit on the same sides, so this time we made sure to switch! It’s pretty cool to see all these things being grown, especially things that we may never see, like pineapples, giant winter melons and alligators!

There are also several Hidden Mickeys on this ride – we spotted two this time around. In the past we’ve seen them made out of the crops!

We walked to the exit via Innoventions – to get out of the heat more than anything! Gotta love all the air-conned space at Epcot!
