Star Tours is a 3D motion simulator ride at Disney Hollywood Studios, which is based on the classic sci-fi movie, Star Wars. It is our ‘must-ride-even-if-we-don’t-ride-any-other-ride‘ ride when we got to Hollywood Studios, and we have been known to go on it 3 or 4 times per day!

Before Disney replaced the legacy Fastpass system with Fastpass+, we used to rush to the ride first thing, grab and Fastpass (it’s a popular ride!) and then line up, using our Fastpass later on at our allotted time. If we were lucky with the line, we’d go round again! There is no shame in saying “we LOVE Star Tours!”

After walking through the queueing area, which, like all Disney rides is themed brilliantly! You’ll walk along the forest moon of Endor, beneath a giant AT-AT, and then into the Rebel bunker where you will see your favourite Star Wars droids – C-3PO and R2-D2, tinkering on the Starspeeder1000 – your cosmic transportation vehicle!

You grab your 3D flight glasses as you prepare to board; a video presentation will then explain the safety procedures for your interstellar space ride. Once you are safely buckled in and prepare for lift off, a series of mishaps occur and you take off with C-3PO in the cockpit!

Your are intercepted by Empire forces and the adventure begins at full speed, with unpredictable twists and turns until you reach the safety of the the Alliance base.

May the Force be with you!

It really is a thrilling ride, and with over 50 story combinations…you may visit Naboo, Tatooine, Hoth or the dreaded Death Star and you may encounter Yoda, Princess Leia, Boba Fett or Darth Vader to name a few…you probably won’t experience the same ride twice!

I hope that you enjoyed reading about our favourite ride!
