I know this is supposed to be a Wordless Wednesday post, but I had to search for what Disney Weenies are, and well, I learned something new today –

A Weenie is what Walt Disney and his Imagineers called the iconic structures or focal points in each of the Disney parks and lands. They are big enough to be seen from a distance and interesting enough to draw you closer for a better look. Examples would be Spaceship Earth, Space Mountain, Big Thunder, The Sorcerer’s Hat, The Tree of Life and all the wonderful castles to name a few. -Deb, Focused on the Magic

To that end, I’m sharing Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Paris from our day-trip in 2010 and so glad that I now know that these iconic structures are called weenies!!
