Remember I mentioned that when went for a walk around our local country park we picked up a load of pinecones to decorate with at Christmas? Well, finally I got around to doing that last night, and here is what I made with them…DIY Glitter Pinecones!

I’ve also got lots more Christmas Crafts for Adults for you to try out. Right-click and open a new tab to read next.

DIY Glitter Pinecones - Easy #Christmas Craft!

They are really easy to do and I love how they turned out – even better than I expected!

First you’re going to need some pinecones. We collected fallen ones from the park, but you can buy them in craft stores. Since they may contain little bugs, it’s a good idea to dip them into some hot water to kill the bugs off and leave to dry.

The only two craft materials you need are glue and glitter. I actually used a spray glue, but if you can’t find that, PVA glue would work as well, you’ll just need more patience to paint the pinecone with glue!

Pour a tube of glitter onto a piece of paper (I do this rather than a plate so that I can pour the excess glitter back into the tube easier) so that you can quickly dip your sticky pinecones into it.

Working with one pinecone at a time, spray with glue all over and then press into the pile of glitter, turning to make sure it is well covered. Leave to dry. Continue using different coloured glitters and then leave them all to dry overnight.

Display any way you like – mine when into a vase!
