Orlando Must Dos! | Pre-Trip Report 2013

As soon as we booked the flights and villa for our 2nd trip back to the Magic, we sat down as a family and made a list of all the things that we MUST DO when we go back to Florida (as well as the things we don’t want to do!)
Here’s how it has panned out…
Breakfast at Tusker House, Animal Kingdom
We did this last time and had a great time! The breakfast was so yummy and the characters were really engaging. A great start to our day at Animal Kingdom, and our ADR is already booked!
House Of Blues, Gospel Brunch, Downtown Disney
We couldn’t get an ADR for this last time, but would really like to try and get one this time around. Brunch is like the most awesome meal ever and with some gospel music thrown in too? Sounds brilliant to us!
Mini Golf
Somehow we didn’t manage to find the time to go and do this activity. Not sure why, but we love a bit of crazy golf in this family, so aim to go to one of the two Disney mini golf courses – Winter Summerland and/or Fantasia Gardens
Typhoon Lagoon and/or Blizzard Beach
Shocking, I know, but we didn’t go to either of the Disney waterparks last time around. We did go to Aquatica and loved that…but would really like to try out the Disney ones as well this year.
Aquatica
We loved it at this water park and we must do it again! We had only planned to spend the morning there, but we ended up being there all day long. Good times – especially Roa Rapids!
Characters in Flight
We tried three times to do this, and every time it was shut down due to the weather…so here’s hoping that the weather will be kinder this time around!
Illuminations Reflections of Earth, Epcot
We saw these last time, but the hours before were pouring with rain and it was touch and go for a while if the fireworks were even going to start! But they did and they were awesome. We all stood in the rain and watched them in a very quiet Epcot and so it would be nice to see them without all the precipitation!
Buy a Minnie Apple
They were expensive and I didn’t buy one…I regret it – they’re just cute and I must have one!
World Showcase, Epcot
We spent our morning and early afternoon in Future World before our ADR at Teppan Edo with a view to walking round World Showcase in the afternoon before the fireworks. It poured with rain and didn’t stop all afternoon and we just didn’t fancy sludging about in it. We did mean to go back whilst in Orlando, but just didn’t get around to it. This time, we are dedicating some time to visiting this part of Epcot.
Hubby wants to eat his way around the different countries! I just want to take photographs of everything!
Jammin’ Jungle Parade, Animal Kingdom
This parade was cancelled due to the weather. Again, we meant to go back, but didn’t. We want to see this parade!
Expedition Everest, Animal Kingdom
Similarly, this ride was closed due to the weather. I’m pretty sure my son breathed a sigh of relief at that, but I would love to go on it, so hoping we get a chance this time!
Splash Mountain, Magic Kingdom
We had a Fastpass for this ride, but it chucked it down, and by chucked it down I mean someone turned the tap on full blast up there and didn’t let off! We had to go home as were soaked to the bone and so, missed our FP time. Again, meant to do it, didn’t, so will do it next time.
Revenge of The Mummy, Universal
Hubby did this. I didn’t. The bar wouldn’t click the required amount of times, no matter how much I sucked it in. Gutted! I WILL fit this time!!
Forbidden Journey, Islands of Adventure
The over the shoulder harness wasn’t going to fit when I tested, so didn’t go on this ride. I said to hubs and son that they should – they didn’t want to go on without me, so this time…I hope…
There are more, but I’m all written out for now!
