Do you remember the Pink Flavoured Baby Shower that I threw for my sister and brother-in-law back in August?
Well....baby Persephone (named after the Greek Goddess of Springtime) was born on 17th October 2012 at 3:44pm ♥ Weighing 7lb 12oz and 21" long.
I was there at the birth to give my support to my sister and brother-in-law as they brought their baby daughter into this world. It was an amazing, life changing experience for me, and I felt so honoured that they asked me to be there with them. The immediate love I felt for my cute baby niece is indescribable, and all the family are so excited to have baby safe with us.
Mummy and baby are now at home after an overnight stay at the hospital, and I've had word from her that first night at home was a-okay.
I took the following photograph when Sephy (yes, we are shortening the name!) was just half an hour old, looking up at her adoring daddy. It makes me melt, it really does. ♥
I got some cuddles after dad asked if I wanted to hold her...to hold a newborn in my arms was pure joy. I miss her so much, and can't wait to go and see her again at the weekend, and to take a little care package to the new parents to help them with their first few days at home!
