Day 29 of Crafty October...just two more days till Halloween! (But it's tomorrow when I'm writing this blog post :P)
Yesterday I decorated up some wooden cutlery for our Halloween dinner...sadly, I am not doing a full on party this year - so much has been going on (and will be going on!) that I just haven't had a chance to prepare for one *sad face* It'll be the first time in years that I've not thrown a Halloween party...I'll make up for it next year ;)

Wooden cutlery is my new favourite thing...I love the look of it - so much nicer than plastic stuff - and, I can decorate it too, which brings the plain-ness of it to life!
Since there are three of us in this family, I decorated three sets of knives, forks and spoons in three different ways.
The first set are mummy wooden cutlery - I wrapped white wool around the handles and stuck on some googly eyes...

The second set, I decorated with a pumpkin sticker and some green/white bakers twine...

And the final set I took a Halloween napkin that I had in my stash of Halloween goodies, glued it to the handle and used a decoupage varnish to seal it...

So what do you think? I think they've turned out great! The limit is only your imagination! This is such a quick craft - why not do it for your Halloween dinner/party?
Why not give this craft a try? If you do, I would love to see what you made! You can post your creations over at my current link party or on my Facebook Page.
