Nasty Nappies Baby Shower Game

I saw this funny (yet quite gross!) game on Pinterest when I was planning my sister and brother-in-law’s Pink Flavoured Baby Shower.

I wasn’t too sure if this would go down well or not, but the hysterics that followed made me realise that yep, it was a good idea!

As I’m in the UK, I called it the Eew! Nasty Nappies Baby Shower Game, but of course, nappies are called diapers in other parts of the world, so it’s also the Eew! Dirty Diapers Baby Shower Game too!

The game does require some preparation with some nappies and chocolate bars, as well as something for guests to write their answers down.

In the photo above you can see the game cards and sign with a pink Hello Kitty-themed design that I made for my sister’s shower.

The free printables that I’m sharing with you are slightly different, with 7 different colors- purple, yellow, green, orange, blue, pink, and grey.

The design accompanies the Wishes For Baby – Free Printable Baby Shower Game/Activity

Where Are The Printable Downloads?

  • You will find the download links further down this page surrounded by a purple box outline.
  • Tap the purple download buttons to save the file(s) to your device.
  • Printables are available in two paper sizes – A4 and US Letter (8.5″ x 11″).
  • Download the paper size that is appropriate for your printer.
  • Each printable set comes with game cards to cut out and hand to guests. (3 per page on A4, and 2 per page on US Letter)
  • As well as two signs to use to display them. I initially designed them to fit in Ikea’s Tolsby standing frames, which they no longer seem to sell. But I found these similar ones on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk You may have to cut the printable to size to fit the frame.

How To Set up Diapers/Nappies Game

As I mentioned, this baby shower game requires some preparation.

You will need:

  • Six nappies/diapersI bought cheap, store-brand to save on costs. There is the option to make them using paper napkins/serviettes.
  • Six chocolate barsyou will need six different kinds of chocolate. I chose ones with different fillings and textures! I used Flake, Crunchie, Toblerone, Bounty, Picnic, and Maltesers.
  • Game cardsI’ve provided each color in its own PDF.
  • Game signif you are having game stations (which is what I did for the baby shower), then display the sign so guests know what the game is.
  • Pensor pencils for guests to write down their answers.

To set up:

  • Write the numbers 1 – 6 on each nappy/diaper so that you can keep track of which chocolate is in which one.
  • Break up each chocolate bar and place them in microwaveable bowls. Melt in short bursts, stirring in between, until melted.
  • Pour the melted chocolate inside the nappy/diaper and smash it in with a spoon.

To guess the answers, players will sniff and examine each nasty nappy or dirty diaper and write their answers down.

When everyone has taken part, you can then reveal which is which.

The game sounds gross, right? Yes, but oh, the hilarity!! Well worth taking the time to set this game up!

My Memories!

The photos from this game just amuse me so much, because I remember how hilarious this game was – everyone’s reaction, despite knowing that there was chocolate inside each nappy was brilliant!

It was so funny how everyone had a good old look inside each nappy!

My mum especially cracked me up, and my brother, who always hams things up got right stuck in! You’d have thought there was actual poop inside the nappies with his reactions!!

Quite frankly, we know that is chocolate in this nappy, but it looks gross – and the fact my sister tried a tiny taste to get the answer made everyone gag!!!
